De host heeft ons middennacht opgehaald van het vliegveld (+20USD) en dat was prettig. Ruim appartement met terras, airco en voorzieningen prima. Ligging van appartement in niet zo'n heel bijzondere omgeving, maar wel redelijk dichtbij het busstation van Caribe Tours om de volgende ochtend door te reizen naar Samaná.

− We vonden het niet zo schoon. Veel losse haren, met name op het douche-putje (bovendien ook koud water) en dat is niet fijn om te zien. We waren er ook maar 9 uurtjes, dus geen punt van gemaakt.

− La ubicación del lugar es realmente horrible, cuando íbamos llegando realmente nos asustados o nos sentimos demasiado inseguros en el barrio, casas demasiado viajas, no hay calle así que son mucho huecos… Tan pronto llegamos empezamos a ver hormigas, arañas y telarañas, la cocina tenía grasa en las paredes y en los cajones, utilizamos una toalla de tela que había en el lavadero y olía mal y con grasa, si les hace falta tenerlo más limpio o cuidado, solo las habitaciones tienen aire, así que si están en la sala o en la cocina tenía vas a acalorar bastante

− Terrible Experience—Couldn’t Even Find the Place Our plane landed around 2 am local time, and what followed was a nightmare. Despite relying on the address and map provided by Booking.com, we were unable to locate the property. Even with the help of a local driver, who was familiar with the area, the place was nowhere to be found. We tried calling the tenant, but at 3 am, after a long and exhausting journey, no one answered. The neighborhood was intimidating, so much so that even our driver was hesitant to linger. The street leading to the supposed location was extremely bumpy, and the car scraped the ground several times. To make matters worse, the pictures of the location on Booking.com were misleading—our driver was disturbed by them, thinking the place was near the seashore, which it clearly wasn’t. We had specifically chosen this place because it was advertised as being "available 24/7 for check-in" and close to the airport. Unfortunately, that was far from the reality. In the end, we were forced to pay our driver and then book a last-minute, expensive hotel room in the city center just to have a safe place to stay. This entire ordeal cost us an additional €181 on top of what we had already paid. I am extremely disappointed with this experience and feel utterly misled by the listing on Booking.com. I strongly advise others to avoid this property to prevent a similar disaster.
