− Was a house of multiple occupancy. Did not stay. Found somewhere else. Lost our money. House and room shabby. Bathroom on a different level. Not en-suite Undesirable people outside the property.

it was ok i personally won’t be back woman downstairs was complaining to much and constantly knocking on our door

Nothing, I arrived later than I'd expected after driving for over 7 hours, I could not access the building until I paid a deposit. I explained that I had no internet and need to use the bathroom urgently, but was told without the deposit o couldn't. I tried desperately to call the provided number, which was not in use. I have reported this to my bank who is currently investing in order for me to have my money refunded.

− Avoid this accommodation if you value cleanliness, safety, or customer service. My biggest mistake was not reading the reviews before booking. After staying here, I can confirm that the issues repeatedly mentioned in previous reviews have clearly not been addressed. Before arrival, I sent several messages and emails requesting an earlier check-in or advising that I would arrive the following day if this wasn't possible. Every message was ignored, yet they had no problem contacting me when it came to taking payment. I stayed from 30/05/2026 to 06/06/2026 while attending a course in Redcar. On arrival, I was greeted by overflowing rubbish bins, black bags scattered around the entrance, flies everywhere, and a terrible smell. Unfortunately, things did not improve inside. My room had heavily stained carpets, dirty dishes and cutlery, paper-thin pillows, and a strong stale smell of smoking. The room was directly above the overflowing bins, and the window had been left open, making the smell even worse. Although I had paid for a private bathroom, I later discovered this meant a separate bathroom located down the stairs and along the hallway. While it had a coded lock, it was far from convenient. The bathroom itself was poorly equipped, with no mirror, nowhere to hang towels or clothes, and no hand soap, despite soap dispensers being fitted. A major safety concern was the bathroom light, which switched off after approximately two minutes. I was told to simply wave my hands to reactivate it, despite this requiring me to partially step out of the shower, creating a potential slipping hazard. I raised this issue several times, but it was never resolved. The building also appeared to be housing long-term residents, including a tenant with a large dog. The communal areas smelled strongly of dog, and barking was regularly audible.

I have nothing positive to say about this place other than the kitchen and bathroom work as expected and it is a short walk to the beach.

− Issues with customer service before I'd even arrived. Poor response to messages (about 50/50 replied to). They charged my bank the £100 deposit 3 times. Only one transaction went through but the other 2 sat pending on my account for about a week, meaning that £200 was frozen in that time and I couldn't access it. This place is essentially a very dilapidated HMO. Apt 2 was in a poor state of repair with peeling paint due to damp, cracks and scuffs to the walls and the entire kitchen ceiling is grey with wipe marks all over it where black mould has been wiped off. Every room needs redecorating. There is no sofa in the main room so there is no way to sit comfortably and watch tv. The Internet wasnt good enough for me to stream tv on my laptop in the bedroom, just constant buffering. The bedroom smells of stale cigarette smoke and there were 4 spiders in the bathroom. Neighbouring buildings have smashed and boarded up windows. There is no free parking, all streets within a 10 minute walk are permit holders only from 8am to 6pm. Permits are not provided. On the second night of my stay I was woken around 2.30am by an unknown male in the communal hallway arguing with a female. This caused my dog to bark and then the male started hammering on my door and kicking it and shouting at and threatening my dog. I thought he had kicked the door in at one point and was scared for my safety. The pair left the building after another person opened their door and complained but returned approx 45 minutes later, still arguing loudly as they went through the hallway. In the morning, I knew that if I was going to salvage anything of my holiday, I needed to leave this accommodation. I had to pay £207 to book 2 nights elsewhere. I have never in my life before left accommodation i had paid for early. Obviously I complained to customer service about my issues but all messages were ignored.
