We booked this for work during Crufts. On arrival, nobody answered the phone, and access to the room
1.0We booked this room for a staff member who was working at Crufts in Birmingham. Unfortunately, the experience was not acceptable. On arrival, it was already difficult because nobody answered the phone. After some time, the door was finally opened, but teh lady did not speak english at all. then our staff member discovered that to reach the rented room, he had to go through the owner’s private house and then to a room located at the back of the garden. This had not been made clear in advance. This arrangement was not suitable at all. We were in Birmingham for work, with meetings and dinners finishing late in the evening, and it is simply not appropriate to expect someone to walk through a private home at those hours to access their room. Because of this, we did not stay there at all and had to find other accommodation. We asked for a refund, but we still have not received it. If accommodation is set up like this, it must be clearly communicated before booking so guests can decide whether it suits their needs.
