Talo oli riittävön tilava 8 hengen porukalle

− Talo ei ollut riittävän siisti/puhdas. Keittiön pinnat/astiat likaiset sekä yleisesti oli siivottu huonosti mikä haittaa viihtymistä. Talon vuokra on kuitenkin korkea.

De ligging is fantastisch, afgelegen en heel rustig. De toegangspoort gaat open met een afstandsbediening. Het huis is zeer ruim en er zijn diverse zitkamers. Overal zijn horren in de ramen. Op de bovenverdieping is overal airco. De slaapkamer met twee aparte bedden heeft een aparte opgang, alleen vanuit buiten te betreden. Er zijn genoeg handdoeken, ook voor bij het zwembad.

− Als het regent, kun je niet buiten zitten: er is geen afdak waar je droog blijft.

The property was in a beautiful rural location with lovely views and accessed via a security gate. It was very well equipped, beautifully furnished and decorated and with interesting places both inside and out, to sit. Also beautiful and extensive gardens. There is a caretaker/gardener living on site who can deal with any queries and the owner’s representatives were very responsive via WhatsApp. They met us at the property and were very helpful and charming. Umbrellas are in the listing. There were none for the sun beds but there is a lovely covered area with a table and chairs, near the pool. There was also tea/coffee on arrival. There are many beautiful villages and stunning countryside to visit in the area.

− There were dogs barking incessantly for several hours starting shortly after our arrival and some of us were woken in the night. We raised this with the owner’s reps and they indicated that this was part of rural life and they could not do anything about neighbour’s dogs. However, we ascertained that the dogs we could hear were just inside the security gate in cages. To be fair, however the noise did improve significantly after we had raised the point. The other point is that when we booked through Booking .com another agent was dealing with us. We made a few requests to them re early check in, a cot and payment of the deposit but were later informed that these requests had not been passed on to the owner’s reps. We were not put in touch with the owner’s reps until the Friday before our stay started on the Monday, ie one working day, so they hadn’t had time to deal with our request for an early check in. Something to be aware of and check. This is advertised as a 5 bedroomed villa. We stated we were 8 people in the booking. When we arrived, however, one of the bedrooms was locked up. As it happened we didn’t need it but no one had checked with us that we were 4 couples before we arrived. Again, something to check. The deposit of 1000 euros has to be paid in cash. This is not that convenient if you get this back in cash at the end of your holiday. We asked if we could pay by credit card but were told we couldn’t but no explanation was given other than cash is “house rules” Lastly you can request early check in or late check out but bear in mind that the fees for this were at least 100/150 euros for an extra hour and increasing for longer. Charges are also made if the crockery etc is not washed up which is fair enough but something to be aware of.

This was wonderful experience - I regret that I could not stay longer

The villa is very big, comfy and you can feel true Toscan experience. The house is really big with 3 comfy bedrooms, big, fully equipped kitchen, living rooms and amazing terrace where you can enjoy the sunset . You can find the great area around with big pool and two lovely donkeys. The garden is perfect - the kids can play with no harm to anyone. The staff is very helpful, responding immediately to your questions. The closest shop is 5 min by car, perfect place to stay with family. There are several additional services that you can buy which is very nice to see. Also you can buy local wine produced in the villa which is very great idea to feel the Toscany
