Blue House on Murray River♡

Room for improvement.

House has a big kitchen and you can secure your car in the back yard. The host was initially very nice and responded promptly to messages.

− The house clearly states 5 beds, only 4 were made. When I asked the host if the 5th bed could be made up she replied with "But on the listing you can clearly see how many beds are there!:(". The fifth bed was unable to be made up. The beds had no top sheets. The host asked that the beds be made before we left. We stripped them so that they were not reused. The doonas could be a larger size as they just cover the mattress top. Despite following the hosts instructions for using the ducting heating, it would switch off after 15-20 minutes saying it needed to be reset. There were a number of electric fan heaters for our use, so I imagine the host knows that the heater can be problematic. There are 2 front doors, one doesn't lock from the inside, the other doesn't lock from the outside. You have to go outside one to lock the other, then come back inside to lock the forest from the inside. The back door locked fine. I was disappointed to have a message back from the host with exclamation marks and sad faces, and a suggestion that I should have asked specifically for 5 beds, even though it is advertised as a 5 bed stay. We were disappointed that the ducted heating was not able to be used. We were disappointed to have no top sheets.

The property manager was fantastic to deal with quite a thorough introduction to the house. Unfortunately, our trip was cut short, and we had to head back home . Good holiday home 🏡

The house had everything. I was impressed and would stay again.

Felt like a family home. My friends and I were close but had the privacy of our own rooms.

− Back gate needs updating. Tricky to open and not opening far enough. Had to make sure my car didn’t hit the left gate.

− Host requires you make beds before leaving and empty bins. No top sheet on beds only a doona that is way to small. I doubt that sheets are changed between visits, seams they just relying on previous guests to make beds and leave property ready for next guests. I wont be staying in this property again.
