Amazing farmhouse to make memories

10.0

Lovely property that is super comfortable. There’s not a thing you’d want and is not there - very well-equipped. We stayed there with our adult children and everyone had a great time. There’s an electric BBQ grill as well so although it is in quite a secluded area, there’s plenty you can do if the weather is good like we had. It is a large farmhouse and the big kitchen is the best part. Newly renovated bathrooms are beautiful and comfortable. As art collectors we also liked the art in the house and the beautiful pottery everywhere. The place has been done up exceptionally well. Beds were very comfortable (all Simba mattresses and pillows) and the house was so big we were all spread out and had our privacy when we wanted. Highly recommend the farmhouse for a wee staycation.

The property isn’t cheap so people would like to make the most of it. We found the 4.00pm check-in time to be very late. By the time everyone arrived and we had settled, it was already 7.00pm and we had wasted the day. Check-out time is even worse especially because the cleaning company wants you to do all the dishes (fair enough!), remove all bedding from 4 bedrooms and collect it in special bags, and collect and throw away rubbish from all bins. Besides the fact that no one wants to do housework on holiday, doing all this, pack, and eat to leave by 10.00am is not just a “small tidy up”, it is quite inconvenient. Also, there were only four dishwashing tablets left for us which were insufficient for a family of 7 staying for 3 days. Fly proofing would be very helpful as we were invaded by wasps and flies and the bug spray can was empty so had to go into town to buy some.
