Stepping back to the 1930s
9.0The peaceful location and panoramic views. Space in property and the antique furniture was unusual.
− Hot water in shower, ok for first person but on 2nd person's shower, goes hot and cold. Only lukewarm water in kitchen sink for washing up, as didn't use dishwasher.
Peace and quiet
10.0Lovely quiet and just you and the country side
This was our second stay at this lovely property. We shall probably revisit. Highly recommended.
9.0Character of interior, well equipped, lovely location, excellent, responsive and accommodating host.
− The shower, being electric, lacks a bit of power.
Spacious accommodation in an idyllic location
9.0Amount of space and good kitchen. All the facilities you could want in a beautiful location

10.0Great stay, lovely house, Daniel and partner very nice people. Will definately return.
− Nothing not to like
Lives up to the 'tranquil' billing and so much more.
9.0It's rare to come across a really unique property that doesn't quite do it like the rest, but surpasses other experiences as a result. Firstly, it's huge. I mean, really big. We took our pup and he was like a kid at Disneyland with all the space! We loved the period detail. The house must have a rich history and we'd have loved to have known more about it. But suffice to say, it was a joy discovering all the nooks, crannies, curious objects, and the surrounding garden and woodlands. The view from the bedrooms and kitchen is bucolic heaven, and the fluffy dressing gowns a real unexpected treat. There is something of a timecapsule feel about it but there's also a massive TV, decent wifi, and a well equipped kitchen. I loved having a separate dining room - a rarity. And it was a joy to have a real fire in the colossal living room. It's also well-located for exploration of the Black Mountain end of the Brecon Beacons.
− It feels churlish to say but the bathroom could do with an update. It was almost impossible to get a lather with the water pressure, but hey ho. It was a small price to pay for THAT view.
