Really convenient location

− Bed was a little short for taller person. Parking was restricted nearby
Nice cozy apartment if you don't mind cigarette smoke leaking in. A little expensive for the area.
7.0The living room is huge and has wonderful views and light. Except for the bathroom, the whole place has just been painted and is quite fresh, with mostly new furniture and the original solid oak doors. Very charming. The kitchen has most of what you need for basic meals, and the dishes, pots and pans are new. Location is excellent with a Sainsbury's across the street, and a delightful deli on the ground floor.
− Neither of these issues are the fault of your hosts, but might be dealbreakers for some folks. Unfortunately the person below smokes quite a bit and the odor makes it's way into some parts of the apartment- mostly just the hall, kitchen and bathroom. If you keep the doors to the bedroom and living room shut, they tend to be okay, but if you are at all sensitive, this is not the place for you. And the building is ~ 1900 and the areas that are the responsibility of the owner (so not your hosts) are in bad shape- filthy, dark hall and stairs leading to the apartment, with rickety wooden stairs leaning a bit at weird angles.
A great place to return to each evening; a very restful and relaxing space.
8.0Location and management were great. Had a few questions and responses were quite immediate. Flat itself is really nice, has a great feel to it. I felt safe as a solo female. Bedding towels were clean and smelled good. Shower good, plenty of hot water. The view from property is lovely in the morning, watching the sun come up. Very little noise from outside or other neighbours. Was warm and clean, plenty of space.
− I realise that the management are not solely responsible for the following, but are of note; The main front door into the entrance of the flats doesn’t close properly despite there being a sign to keep the door closed. It was stiff and kept being left open which meant it was cold, and not as secure as it could’ve been. The stairs are ancient so are a little worn and uneven, some might struggle with them. A neighbour obviously smokes a lot and it comes through the vent in the bathroom. Not strong when you’re in the flat, but noticeable on entry. The bathroom was the weakest room in my opinion, it looked superficially clean but needed a bit of help - the storage is unstable and I didn’t like the hooks for towels. The floor looked like it needed a deep clean of the grout.
