Heerlijk huisje met geweldig uitzicht

De locatie van het huisje is werkelijk perfect, wat een uitzicht. Hier kom je echt tot rust. Verder is het huis goed uitgerust qua spullen. Tevens zijn er meerdere plekken/ terassen waar je buiten kunt verblijven. Beneden bij het water is een gezamenlijk strand met groot grasveld met doeltjes en volleybalveld.

− De eigenaar gebruikt het huis zelf ook, dus er zijn veel spullen van hem aanwezig. Daar moet je een beetje doorheen kijken. Wij misten in de keuken wel een kastje waar we onze eigen voorraad kwijt konden. Verder zijn de slaapkamers en bedden niet zo groot.

Good communication pre-stay. Easy and early check-in. Amazing location with stunning views.

− Sadly, we were very disappointed with our stay. In the advertised pictures, the property has minimal furniture, appears clean and tidy with minimal clutter, and no sign of ongoing construction. We found: lots of dust on surfaces, some stains on drawers, the host’s personal/family items cluttered around the property (clothing, toiletries, gym equipment, fishing equipment, stacks of bottled drinks, kids belongings, + more) and a portion of the decking and garden under construction, with tools and materials laid around. The large "rainfall" shower head didn't work (only comes out on the far left side). One of the double beds seemed dangerously high with no guard. Part of the balcony was roped off with bungee cord, presumedly out of bounds. Personally, we wouldn't expect to see family photos (including of children) when we stay somewhere, but they were here (again, not included in the ad photos). There was also a large blackboard wall in the dining area that was covered in chalked celebrations of someone's 5th birthday. These things together made us acutely aware we were staying in someone else's house and made us uncomfortable. We have stayed in plenty of AirBnB's, private lets, and never previously found this to be the case. In short: if the advertised photos matched what we found, we wouldn’t have booked. We reached out to the host after our stay and they were sympathetic to our discomfort, but simply explained that they’re currently doing construction on the property and that personal items should be expected, even though none of this is included in the advert for the property.
