This a very nice apartment in the middle of the beautiful national park of Mljet. From this house all the nice hikes and biking roads can be reached by foot/bike. Nenad and his family are very kind and warm people who take good care of their property and guests. The apartment was very clean and well-equipped. Many thanks!

A perfect place to stay on the breathtaking island of Mljet

We had a wonderful stay! The hosts were extremely kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. The apartment is spotless and equipped with everything we needed. It was exactly as described and met all our expectations. It has two separate bedrooms and a living room with a fully equipped kitchen, making it very comfortable for a family or a group. The air conditioning was powerful and worked perfectly, the Wi-Fi was reliable, and we were even able to watch the FIFA World Cup on the TV. Although it's not right on the seafront, two charming former fishing villages with beaches, harbours, restaurants and grocery stores are only a 3–5 minute drive away. If you don't have a car, it's easy to rent a bike, as there are plenty of bicycle rentals nearby.

Exceptional Hosts on a Beautiful Island

We have just finished a wonderful stay with Nenad and his family at House Lasko in Goveđari, and we couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel completely at home. The apartment is only a 5–10 minute’s drive from the ferry port, and Nenad very kindly collected us after finishing work so that we didn’t have to walk with our suitcases in the summer heat, he also took time on his day off to drop us back in time for our ferry . We were welcomed to the apartment with fresh vegetables from the family garden and a delicious homemade drink, which we enjoyed while Nenad shared the history of the area and recommended some fantastic places to visit, both within the national park and across the island. Having lived and worked on Mljet all their lives, Nenad and his family have an incredible knowledge of the island. They are genuinely warm, kind and welcoming people who clearly take great pride in sharing their home and local culture with their guests. After travelling around Croatia for several weeks, I can honestly say that this has been one of our favourite places to stay. Mljet itself is a breathtaking natural paradise, that is peaceful, unspoilt and refreshingly uncrowded. It’s clear how much care and dedication the local community puts into preserving both the national park and the island’s heritage. If you enjoy exploring, Mljet offers something for everyone. You can discover the island by car, bike, e-bike, on foot, or by kayak, and there are also plenty of opportunities for swimming in the sea and in the lakes. There are numerous well-marked walking and hiking routes throughout the national park and beyond, allowing you to experience the island’s stunning scenery at your own pace. Everywhere we visited felt safe, peaceful, and exceptionally clean, making it a wonderful place to relax and explore.
