For us this is perfect. The proximity to family, to Edinburgh and the Borders was great. Everything worked. Nice hosts.
9.0Perfect location for visiting our family. Totally fine about us bringing our 3 wee Tibetan dogs. Lovely outlook over garden. Comfortable and well equipped. We will definitely return.
− Maybe a little more hosting effort such as more tea, coffee for when you first arrive (I think we had 3 teabags). Some biscuits and a pint of milk would be nice too for a premier property such as this. Also only 2 each of laundry tablets and dishwasher tablets and one cloth, one bin bag. Obviously we provided our own asap but it could feel more welcoming with a little more.

9.0Great location on the penicuik way for morning dog walks. Only a 25 minute drive into edinburgh and an Hour to Glasgow. The property way clean, tidy and spacious.
− It would have been great to find a pint of milk in the fridge and a loaf of bread on arrival. Other similar properties we have stayed in have usually provided a small welcome basket of local bits and bobs. Also, whilst it is dog friendly, there are no provisions for the dog i.e bed, blankets, bowls or treats so make sure to bring your own. (luckily we did!)

8.0I actually liked that the House was on the outskirts of the city centre. It is an ideal location for those who value peace and quiet. It allowed us to see a little more of Edinburgh than we would have if we were smack in the middle of the city.
