Rough beginning, but for a short stay and agent's response it was ok, just not a great value for us.

5.0

Mountain view, property view, hot tub, fireplaces & firewood. Owner/agent compensated by buying a nice dinner for us. Was thoughtful and understanding. That was appreciated, despite the disappointment and rough beginning of the stay.

1. Access to guest house (2nd of 2 BR) was not clear on arrival. Door was keyed, instux indicated a door code. 2. Hot tub was filthy on arrival. Cleaned the next day, but was a disapointment on arrival. 3. Several pots and pans were disgustingly greasy and had to be washed before use. 4. Owner in downstairs apartment unexpectedly appeared early one morning on upper deck outside master bedroom (with curtains wide open) without notice. Appeared to try to respect privacy, but still spoiled our privacy and view.

Stay at the Almost Heaven Ranch, You won’t regret it!

10.0

The home was absolutely amazing, we couldn’t have stayed anywhere better. The decor was perfect then having the guest house was very beneficial for us considering one of was recovering from a pretty bad motorcycle accident so climbing stairs wasn’t really something he could do so having the guest house for him to stay in and heal was the best he wanted me to say thank you for having us as well and that he really was able to rest and get to feeling better while we were there he really was grateful to have us all there together helping take care of him which was the main reason for our stay was so we could be there to help him till he could get to feeling better and moving around on his own again. We stopped and he got to meet Rebecca on our way out as well and he appologized that we didn’t really get to spend more time with the horses during our stay we told her we would definitely be back though and next time we will for sure contact her so we can get to enjoy those beautiful horses we haven’t ever seen horses so pretty and well behaved before they were beautiful. Thank you from all of us for having us in your beautiful home we all look forward to coming and staying again soon.

Beautiful location but mold infested.

4.0

Beautiful location, beautiful decorations. Plenty of room for everyone. Good communication as stuff was needed.

The guest house considered the 2nd bedroom downstairs is infested with mold. I let the owner know and he said it’s just stains from the hurricane water entering property. The hurricane flood was not cleaned up properly and needs to be investigated as this is a major health issue. There is mold growing in the drywall and baseboards etc. smells musty beyond belief etc. not habitable. Main lodge upstairs has black mold growing in one of the kitchen cabinets where the plates and glasses go. I sent pictures to the owner and awaiting customer service to address this issue. We informed the owner of both incidents as we had an infant and 7 year old with us…. All shampoo and conditioner and soap was out. Luckily we brought soap with us. There is no AC, was not needed as it’s cooler, but once again we had an infant with us and if there was a heat surge we would not have been able to stay. One night we did have issues getting it cool enough for the baby to sleep. Once again if that was notated in the description before renting no issues. But it was not.

Very romantic and beautiful cabin for time away and reconnecting with nature

It was gorgeous. So cute. And the views were perfect. The hot tub and the fire pit were great amenities that we enjoyed. The friendly horses were a bonus. The spacious porch with the swing was one of our favorite places to sit.

Exceptional

Loved how remote and quiet the lodge was on the owners property. Did have some issues getting to property, but that was in no way the hosts fault

It was very comfortable and quiet. We did use the BBQ grill both evenings, but we're unable to locate any grill utencils other than the grill brush in the BBQ. We made due, The large decks were fantastic and had a great view.
