A nice property, well situated but could do with a few more practical items in the bedrooms.
5.0The beds and pillows were wonderfully comfortable. The linen and towels were excellent quality and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The house was warm and hot water was plentiful. The house was located in the perfect position for our visit as we could easily walk to town and the shopping outlets. The immediate vicinity was quiet with almost no road noise. Parking for two cars on the drive was a pleasant surprise.
− The incorrect code for the door key safe was sent by email, so I had to telephone Christian for the correct code. Not the best of starts…. The shower attachment in the main bathroom doesn’t not work, so you can only have a bath in there. Also, the shower screen on the bath does not fold back or move, which makes it difficult to reach in and turn on the taps. The loo roll holders, both upstairs and downstairs are in the most difficult location - on the wall, right behind your left hand shoulder blade. The bedroom on the top floor has plenty of storage, bedside tables and lamps (one without a bulb), but the two bedrooms on the first floor had no bedside tables or lamps which was very inconvenient. Lastly, I received an email at 8.36a.m. on our first morning asking if an engineer could come to service the boiler at 9a.m. which I felt was totally unacceptable, having rented the property for just two night. We explained to the engineer when he arrived at 9.05 a.m. that it wasn’t convenient as none of us were showered or dressed which thankfully, he totally understood.
Great location great value
10.0Close to Bicester village for shopping Self check in Fans were good as it was hot Everything great
− Nothing … shower a bit stiff on taps in bathroom that’s it
Great place to stay.
9.0Friendly, helpful host. Everything there we could need.

Lovely house but hosts could have done better
5.0Beautiful house, nicely decorated. Hosts responded promptly to queries. Early check in/out provided
− Only one room fan although we specifically asked week before travelling if there were fanS in the house as forecast had predicted would be the hottest week, and we were told by hosts there were fanS available. As ladies of a menopause age this was extremely important for us.... sorry Chris and Stewart, but we really felt let down as you could have gone to local store to purchase these. We would have ourselves if we hadn't been caught up with wedding plans. My friends had to use wet towels to try to sleep at night. A few other things to points out... Needs more tea spoons, Extremely noisy fan in bathroom so could not switch on light at night time, Perhaps a bottle of water in fridge especially when hottest day of the year? However, would say it is a lovely house and hosts were responsive... Even if the responses were not as we'd hoped!
Had a lovely trip away and it wax a great place to stay. Good communication from hosts.
8.0Great location. Close to Bicester village. Good size. Great outdoor space too.
Stunning property - a must for Bicester
10.0Absolutely super stay here. List of positives below - but I highly, highly recommend staying here if you want to visit Bicester, Oxford or both • hosts (brilliant communication and always available) • house is really homely with a lovely dog friendly and self contained back garden • super bedrooms with loads of space and good sound proofing • friendly neighbours • lovely dog walking space 2 mins walk from the property • lovely sitting room with views onto the garden and loads of light coming in, lovely at night time • 15 mins/5 mins in the car from Bicester village • 5 mins drive to a number of massive supermarkets Tesco Superstore, Sainsbury’s, M&S and a Co-Op within walking distance • 20 mins drive to Oxford with really easy roads to get there • kitchen space was spot on - mod cons like dishwasher, coffee machine, washing machine all there + some home bits and pieces left to use Overall we loved staying here, very family friendly and you really felt like Chris and Stuart cared about their guests. It was our first time visiting Oxford and we would 100% return to this property again.
