10.0We had a wonderful stay! The property is absolutely stunning—surrounded by beautiful, well-maintained gardens that felt like a peaceful retreat. Every corner of the home is thoughtfully decorated with tasteful, elegant touches that made it feel both luxurious and welcoming. It’s clear the hosts put a lot of care into creating a special space. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene and stylish getaway!
Great location and very comfortable spoilt only by the absence of the hot tub.
7.0I liked the rural location and the overall finish to the inside was to a very good standard. The kitchen was well fitted and had everything we needed and given the chilly evenings the property always felt warm and the addition of the wood burner with wood supplied was especially welcome. The two bedrooms were both well equipped and very comfortable and overall we had plenty of room to spread out and relax after two long days of sightseeing. One final welcome gesture was the placing of fresh flowers on arrival and the complimentary brownies, both of which proved to be a very nice touch.
− The major disappointment for me was the absence of the Hot tub which was clearly highlighted as a feature on Booking.com as an additional amenity. Our group had planned to enjoy our evenings around the hot tub and barbecue. Upon arrival we discovered a spa and hot tub facility in an adjacent field although that was operated by a separate business (HOTBOX) and not included. This was bookable in advance and cost £225 for a single session and included up to 16 people (source Hotbox website). Needless to say we did not take it up. Finally the hot water system proved initially not to be working on arrival & needed attention and the barbecue required us to do a deep clean before use.
