10.0Beautiful property just perfect for two! Everything you could possibly want was provided, extremely comfortable bed , wonderful location, great hosts and friendly chickens. We also loved the amazing walks straight from the door and being so close to Keswick and Derwent Water.
Location, view, facilities, just excellent all around
10.0The place is actually more spacious than it appears in the photos. The kitchen is especially large and well designed and stocked with all kinds of utensils and modern appliances and a very good dishwasher too. Overall the whole place is well maintained and lots of attention has been given to details around the house in terms of facilities, convenience, and amenities. The sitting room is cozy and comfortable, on some rainy days we didn't mind just spending all our time indoors. The view from the barn, oh, it's just amazing, there's some farmland and in the distance are some fells. The clouds appear different every day and create wonderful and dynamic scenes over the area. We spent quite some time staring out the front door just watching the clouds go past over the hills. Truly felt like we were away from it all. The location is really good too, it's just near Keswick, so you don't have to be in the busy part (and Keswick does get busy), and it's an easy few minutes to Lake District attractions including cat bells, derwent, newlands pass area. We got really good instructions for how to find the place and it is very obviously seen in Google streetview.
