The property is large, and quiet. Location was good and has parking.

− Wasn’t very clean in certain rooms and no coffee/ tea any basic things you expect.

Very disappointed. As regular visitors to Holmfirth we hoped we had found somewhere we could return to but unfortunately

The location was convenient for the town. Private parking

− The property was very shabby & needs attention. The cleanliness could be much better. There is a lack of attention to detail which we usually have when we visit similar types of accommodation. The fridge door is damaged & the freezer was full of ice & needed defrosting. We saw that a previous review had highlighted this problem months ago & it is still unresolved. We found underwear left in a drawer & a dirty used towel in a bathroom. The mattresses & pillows were of poor quality. We stayed the weekend before Xmas & there were no decorations except for a small dying conifer with a wooden reindeer. More thought about the visitors needs is required to bring the property up to a decent standard. This house has the potential to be a stunning place but needs significant investment to improve the current offering.

A pleasant house which we look forward to staying in again. Great central location.

Great location

− Kitchen was lovely but the handles need a good scrub - years of build up making them sticky. The hot water was warm but not as warm as I’d like it.

We would stay again if areas of concern improved

Prior to arrival very efficient. Dealt with our concerns immediately. Beds comfy. Parking space was ok.

− No welcome pack on arrival of tea,coffee, milk Fridge needs replacing-no shelves in door. Freezer iced over and no drawers. Damp on walls. Unable to open windows at front of house.

Location fabulous, house adequate but could be better.

Location was excellent Beds comfortable & bathrooms very clean

− We had issues with the electric - a friends charging device melted the wire when nothing was charging and the lights kept tripping in the large bedroom bathroom. The one tea towel provided was filthy so we purchased some kitchen roll. The kitchen drawers handles were very grimy to touch!
