Position was excellent, could walk to most attractions but did catch a bus occasionally. Food market at your door along with cafes and restaurants. I liked that it had a washing machine but there was a laundromat across the road.

Great location but be mindful of the constant noise from the bustling hawkers centre next door.

Location and the facilities in the same building especially the fitness centre where I purchased a casual pass for the week. Great coffee shops in the same building. Maxwell food centre right next door where you can sample Singapores legendary hawker culture.

− Noise from the constant unloading and loading of trucks etc at the carpark next to Maxwell food centre and the MRT. Kept me awake for the first night. Thankfully I had a pair of disposable earplugs which blocked out the noise. Hotel should supply these free of charge at the check in desk as a courtesy to guests.

Location

− Noisy water pipes and banging of doors with other residents coming and going at different hours. No insulation between rooms, so constant disturbance at all hours of the night. Ants infested room towards the end of the stay. The bed was very hard.

I wouldn’t stay here again, but happy that it was in walking distance of restaurants, markets and MRT

− Rooms were not as advertised, only had cold water, reported broken shower handle and cold water, shower tap was fixed but still no hot water. Ants in kitchen and bedroom. room was noisy, loud music, traffic and renovations.

Overall great location but the accommodation is overpriced for what it offers.

Great location right next door to the Maxwell MRT and the Maxwell Hawker Centre. Also walking distance from Chinatown. The building itself is quite beautiful and historic ... the elevator was cool. Lots of little cafes and restaurants on the ground level. The ice-cream shop in the foyer entry was nice with the owners, the Tans, always welcoming.

− We were given a room that was completely different to the photos that were shown as part of the booking. One of the rooms literally had a toilet plumbed into the shower. None of the doors could fully open because the space was so small. We complained and it took a week to move us to a larger room which was more like the photos. We asked for a refund because we paid quite a bit for the rooms but was declined by management. The beds were very uncomfortable BUT the new room was spacious and quite lovely. There is no reception, only a whatsapp number. In both apartments we had to contact the number to get someone to come clean the rooms each time we moved in ... especially the bathrooms. There was hair in the drain and the walls needed cleaning ... still had soap scum on it. The whatsapp reservation person was very responsive though.
