Fantastic peaceful stay in this wildlife reserve; proper glamping in comfy beds with all mod cons!!
8.0The location is amazing, in the wildlife reserve. View of sunset from the lodge is incredible, all amenities are there, well stocked kitchen, very friendly staff who are doing an amazing job of conservation (esp the wallabies!)
− It was a shame we had to book 2 tents - there would have been ample room for an extra stretcher in 1 tent, from my family's perspective. Also would have loved to be able to walk around the lake a bit more :)

8.0Un magnifique endroit
A unique FNQ experience well away from the beaches and palm trees!
9.0Beautiful sunset and an opportunity to be immersed in the bush. Facilities were generous and clean. Best bed in a two week trip!
− Just be aware there’s about 5km of dirt road to access the lodge. It’s easy enough in a 2wd but our hire car wasn’t technically allowed on it.
We had a magic night at this beautiful place.. Perfect for a couple looking for a romantic getaway.
10.0Such a tranquil and beautiful place. Views from the deck of the dining/kitchen building were stunning. Glamping tent was very comfortable. Kitchen had everything you needed.
− We only had one night!
OK
5.0Great location, arrived late to no gas. Has we have known we would have brought dinner with us. Not worth the money paid as communal area quite dirty, had to wash dried pasta off cutlery and plates before eating. There is an accommodation property near Tolga for a similar price that offers way more plus way cleaner!
Wonderful site. But no service and very limited safe access to the wetlands
5.0Wonderful location - wetland views, birds of prey, finches, honeyeaters, parrots, waterbirds, etc. Accomodation clean, comfortable, quiet. A cocophany of bird song and frogs in morning and evening. Just what we came for!
− Too many tracks closed - including perimeter track, which meant we ran out of sites to see, close-ups of birds & animals. Lighting along access tracks between lodge and cabins was pathetic - broken, covered in grass, etc. Lodge in desparate need of care and maintenance. There was no person to greet us, nor did anyone visit the site while we were there. So sad - given what it was on each of our visits over the past 25 years.
