Beautiful place for remote work or vacation
10.0The Dome House is a lovely place with a beautiful garden and cute bedroom+living area. I slept really well and loved the natural lights and the outdoor bar and sitting area. You can also go on the rooftop, which is pretty cool. I spent most of my time working remotely, and the wifi was good even for long video calls. If you don't like staying in the same place all day, there is also a new, very nice co-working space 10 minutes down the street. The Dome House is a short 10-minute walking distance from the main seafront promenade, and you can get a coffee just a 3-minute walk around the corner. There is AC in each room, and the shower has good water pressure and hot water. I liked the generous sink and storage room in the bathroom. Shayma was always available via WhatsApp for questions and help and got me a very polite and reliable taxi driver for airport pick up and drop off, even though I arrived late at night. It's really a unique and pretty house, well furnished and stylish. For me, as a cat lover, it was a big plus to have lots of street cats just in front of the building, and sometimes they would come in the garden and say hi. 😍 But they are timid, so if you aren't into cats, you can easily shoo them away. Neighbors surround the Dome House, and sometimes, because of the proximity, when the neighbors went in and out of their houses, it sounded as if someone was walking into the Dome House - but of course, that was never the case. Just me being tricked by the soundscape. 😅
