A decent base for Peniscola
8.0The location gives great views over Peniscola and the ocean beyond, a good sized terrace is a bonus, the apartment is well enough equipped to make for a fairly comfortable stay - a bit of a hike on foot up/down into town, especially in 30C+ but perfectly achievable, parking space out front a bonus - our motorcycle felt pretty safe there. Oliver was very communicative up to and during our stay.
− Pity there was no parasol to be found, which limited the possibility of using the terrace and outside space as there was no shade, couldn’t figure out how to get the aircon working other than as a fan, continuously barking dogs all around late at night and early in the morning was an irritation, resident neighbours were not what you’d class as friendly - no idea why! The immediate area was lacking in facilities like shops, bars, restaurants etc so no real choice other than walk down into town or use a vehicle - but on the plus side it means it’s quiet (except for the dogs!).
