7.0Die Lage der Unterkunft ist gut. Ist neben einer Kirche und darunter ist ein Türkisches Restaurant.
− Leider war mein Aufenthalt organisatorisch enttäuschend. Bereits vor dem Check in musste ich mehrmals telefonisch nachfragen, da ich keine klaren Informationen erhalten habe. Das hat den Start unnötig kompliziert gemacht. Während des Aufenthalts habe ich über Booking.com angefragt, ob ein späterer Check out möglich wäre. Gestern wurde mir dazu keine Rückmeldung gegeben. Heute habe ich erneut nachgefragt und mir wurde erst um 9 Uhr morgens mitgeteilt, dass ich bereits um 12 Uhr auschecken muss. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt hatte ich meinen Tag bereits anders geplant und musste kurzfristig alles umorganisieren, was sehr ärgerlich war. Die Wohnung ist zwar sehr groß, wirkt jedoch eher unpraktisch geschnitten. Das Bett ist sehr schmal, gefühlt etwa 140-1,60 m breit oder sogar kleiner, was den Schlafkomfort deutlich eingeschränkt hat. Insgesamt macht das Apartment einen Eindruck, als wäre es bereits in die Jahre gekommen. Positiv hervorzuheben ist die sehr gute Lage der Unterkunft. Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt in Ordnung, jedoch haben die mangelnde Kommunikation, die kurzfristigen Informationen und der eingeschränkte Komfort den Gesamteindruck deutlich verschlechtert.
Really a great spot in a really great area of Panama City!
9.0Really great location in Cosco Viejo! Easy walking to everything and a lovely street with our balcony overlooking. The place has all the basics for staying two weeks. We had a few items that didn't work intially (coffeemaker and an AC unit), but the manager was on it immediately and everything was working promptly. The street seems to have at least one police officer nearby almost all the time taking care of a government building on the corner--which is nice.
− It takes a while to get used to the noise. The church next door has bells that go off starting at 6:30 AM but wraps up at 10 PM, the place across the way has a dog that gets excited at very odd hours, and anyone walking on the streets below echos around and are easily heard. Taxis in Panama like to honk when they get to a corner, so car honking is constant. If you run the AC at night, a lot of that gets covered up.
