The apartment was super clean and nicely decorated. The location was perfect for our stay in Columbia Heights. Parking on the street was easy. The owner was super helpful and responsive. The bed was comfortable.

− The fact that we could not access the thermostat to adjust the temperature was inconvenient. A little more in the kitchen so we could cook our own breakfast would be nice.

− The sub level position was almost at the street intersection so loud cars and conversations carried at all hours of the night. Not ideal for light sleepers like myself.

Inability for guest to control temperature in rented space

Extra supplies like coffee pods are provided to get you started; Stoneware, utensils, appliances, fixtures, and finishes are high quality and very functional, which was greatly appreciated.

− Inability to control temperature in any of the spaces was a significant and surprising issue. The bedroom was quite warm at night and if guests want the temp adjusted, they must let hosts into the bedroom to access a locked closet where the thermostat is located. For me, this is unacceptable. Also, all pillows and the mattress have covers that are 100% NON-breathable and very uncomfortable, even though the mattress itself is fairly comfortable. Lastly, an extra fee is applied to check out at 11am. Due to all these factors, I would not stay here again, even though the space is kept up nicely.
