6.0The upstairs bathrooms seemed to have been re-done and we’re glad there was a BBQ.
− There were no dustbins in the bathrooms, there was no body wash or a soap provided in the shower, the towels were so hard and scratchy. If you just come for a weekend it would be appreciated to have some soap. The kettle was old and full of limescale. A coffee machine of some sort would have really made a difference as I don’t know many people who want awful instant coffee in the morning. There were also no dustbin bags - if you just come for the weekend you don’t expect to have to bring dustbin bins. The front garden where it made sense to sit (with the grass) had only very uncomfortable bench seating - more effort to make the outside comfortable for summer would have been appreciated. The walled area where the BBQ was was hostile and awful to sit in - again some effort could be made. The beds were very uncomfortable too with hard mattresses and poor quality linen. Such thin curtains too especially for summer. If the house is being rented out in summer it would go a long way to provide some fans in the rooms as the upstairs is very hot! There was also some strange situation with the hot water so all the radiators started heating up the whole house in the afternoon and it was boiling! For summer there surely needs to be another solution. The request to strip the beds too is not standard at all.

9.0Spacious, well equipped and comfortable beds
− The noise of planes flying over from nearby military airstrip could be annoying but we enjoyed watching them.
Enjoyable weekend with friends in a comfortable house with our dogs.
8.0Log fire was nice. Lots of space in the house and utility room for wet weather gear and boots. Enclosed garden for the dogs and nice walks nearby.
− As we were cooking each night better kitchen knives would have been useful

− The bunk bed room was very small, although this would be fine for children!
