A deeply disappointing stay with no hot water, poor cleanliness, and unresolved compensation.

Apart from the location of the property nothing else.

− We had no hot water for over 24 hours, starting from the moment we arrived. I repeatedly had to chase the hosts for updates, and although they apologised, nobody could clearly explain what the issue was or why it was taking so long to fix. It was extremely inconvenient, especially after travelling. The property was also not properly cleaned on arrival. The ground floor was noticeably dirty, and there were insects swarming in the first‑floor en suite, which was unacceptable for a London listing at this price point. I asked for compensation due to the lack of hot water and the poor condition of the property, but I have still not received anything. Overall, I would not stay here again.

Great Location

− There were leaks in multiple places from the ceilings. Shower drain was slow. A/C units did not work consistently. Ants were throughout unit especially the bathrooms.

The location was great; the actual layout of the property was as expected. And the place was generally clean.

− The upkeep of the property was poor. There were big cracks in the mirror doors in one of the bedrooms, doors that wouldn't close. The kitchen splash back had even bigger cracks particularly around the power point which I am not sure was safe. The taps in kitchen were very loose making them hard to use. The plug in the kitchen sink was broken so we couldn't wash up, and no tea towel was provided anyway. The overall appearance of the property was bit sad. We had no hot water in any of the bathrooms the first morning. We did report this and it was fixed but looking at previous reviews this seems to be an ongoing issue. We stayed here for four nights and on the third day received a phone call requesting permission to do an inspection at 8am in next morning which was the morning we were leaving. Don't see why they would need to do an inspection as 8am when checkout was not until 11:00. I said no to the inspection until we had checked out, they weren't happy.

− The house is falling apart. When taking a bath on the second floor, the water started dripping from the ceiling. The sheets had brown stains on them. There were ants in our bedroom, and the cherry on top was a cockroach on the 3rd floor. The host did not respond, and booking support did not get back to us, regardless of providing all the proof. I will attach all photos.
