Underwhelming and not value for money
4.0It was good being close to the Pheasant pub and Cartmel is a nice town
− Firstly this place is not a cottage it is in a close as we arrived the plant pot at the front was tipped over soil was on the floor the pictures regarding the front of the house are extremely misleading. Inside the shower was extremely annoying as the shower tray was to shallow meaning it caused the bathroom floor to become very wet, as I went to turn on the extractor it leaked brown liquid in the bathroom . For how much we paid to stay there I would’ve expected the decor and board games to be more contemporary for example; fake flowers, fixtures and fittings plus incomplete board games with pieces missing. I hoovered before leaving and the hoover stunk of a pet smell , bearing in mind the hosts would have charged £30 per lost towel I find this quite outrageous. Overall for the money we paid it is certainly not worth it . This is not the star rating we expected not to mention the misleading images . I’m afraid we won’t be returning to fell view cottage!

10.0It was our first time in Lake District and we really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was cosy and easy to find. The host communication was excellent. We really loved the free access to the Spa especially on rainy days. Would definitely recommend to anyone with or without children.

Trip of a lifetime
10.0Amazing value for money, great location for short drive to some stunning views. The access to the leisure centre was a wonderful bonus, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get away for a bit. This trip has changed my life, my fiance proposed to me during this trip and it couldn't have gone better.

10.0Had everything you needed & anything you may have forgotten to take there was a well stock shop around the corner. Bed comfortable, good shower. Lots of useful info provided & exceptional customer service by the owner via email to make sure everything was OK for our stay. Spa pass is an added bonus.
− The kitchen cold tap was a little hard to turn on & off but nothing to complain about im only mentioning in case anyone had mobility issues with their hands.
