Needs a good clean and some maintenance
4.0We were shifted from the accommodation we originally booked due to ongoing construction so this review is for Juniper Semaphore Park (same owner). Good location and well appointed.
− The host was unapologetic about moving us from our intended accommodation to another of her properties. There was no offer of a discount to compensate us for the change. The property, whilst aesthetically pleasing on the surface was in dire need of a good clean. Some of the issues we noted were: pubic hair all over the bedsides and through both beds. Blood on the throw in the second room we had to rearrange so it wasn't in our daughter's face. Food scraps left in the plug holes of both sinks. Food scraps in the drain in the bottom of the dishwasher. Mould in the water bottle provided for still water. Most of the fan remotes have flat batteries, as does one of the aircon remotes. There was so much hair and dust on the floor that I had to wash my jumper after putting it down. Food splatters on the fronts of the kitchen cupboards. Used coffee pods left in the machine. Vacuum bin completely full. When I highlighted this with the host on check-out she again failed to apologise and simply said "thanks for the feedback"

"Pearl" turned out to be a real "Gem". We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
10.0Elle our Homestay Hotelier was very welcoming and helpful. Pearl's quality fixtures and furnishings accommodated our needs for a restful and relaxing stay. The location was perfect with direct access to the beach. It was clean and comfortable, with some very thoughtful provisions. We enjoyed the Seaview from the upstairs balcony. We look forward to staying again.
