We had a truly wonderful stay at this charming cottage in the Lake District. Nestled against a backdrop of hills and surrounded by farmland, it offered a peaceful setting for our getaway. The house was thoughtfully decorated and comfortably accommodated our group of three couples, with full-size bedrooms that ensured everyone had their own space to unwind. And plenty of space for 3 cars to park. The location was ideal—quiet and still conveniently close to the popular lakes and with easy access to the main roads, making day trips effortless. We also found the check-in and check-out process to be smooth. Thank you for accommodating us over the Easter long weekend—we very much enjoyed our time here!

Cosy, quiet cottage set with beautiful views

A lovely cosy cottage with plenty of space and the hot tub was lovely.

− We booked from 23rd to 28th and had to go and buy a Christmas Tree as there wasn’t one at the property. With younger children it was a necessity and to be honest for the price we paid a small christmas tree would have been a lovely touch

Comfortable home, good location and lots of space.

− The property is very, very pet friendly, however my dogs were very interested in the previous occupant smells and especially the bedroom rug. When I checked it, it was soiled with stale dog urine. My recommendation would be to keep pets away from Upstairs as even if house trained it’s too tempting for them!

Very quaint beautiful little farmhouse. The most comfortable beds and beautiful bedrooms

− Quite a few dead flies in the bathroom light that need removing and on the skylight Needs a few more oven racks in the oven as only had a grill pan I the top grill.

Average stay would not return

Rooms were comfy that’s about the best thing about It.

− Hot tub was deceiving and not usable as it was so small, house was full of cobwebs and ironing board was broken which was never mentioned as when I rang she said there was no iron available.

We had a lovely stay, the house was lovely, location was great, rooms were big and really comfortable.

The location was great, the house was lovely, hot tub was a great touch, rooms were a lovely size and really comfortable.

− Apart from welcome email with lock box code and directions no other welcome instructions : e.g. had to guess that the temperature and bubbles on hot tub were automated timer set and couldn’t be controlled manually. No shelves in oven - cooking a special birthday family meal was difficult with no shelves. Owners directions to property didn’t seem to be correct although we tried to follow them a couple of times we found our own way.
