There was no WiFi, the place smelled bad and after we left the landlord said someone urinated on the bed to try and get an extra £100! Which was a total lie, obviously a little scam, wouldn't recommend but if you do make sure you take before and after pics to prove how you left the room! Also the place smelled bad.

The room was nice and easy to enter as well as a good location. The room had a lovely floor length mirror as well as wireless charging and nice carpeting.

− My door (room 3) was extremely squeaky and disturbed other people staying there There was a lack of toilet paper in both bathrooms available The upstairs bathroom is nice but quaint with a sink too small to even brush teeth in.

Very happy with the house and host was very pleasant.

Very clean room and very comfortable bed. Kettle in room with tea and coffee. Very nice bathroom. Shower a little tricky to operate. You needed to look at instructions. Fine when you understand it though. Overall a lovely house and friendly host.

− Improved access to kitchen would have been good. Better availability of extra towels would be good . However no major problem was experienced as when I asked for extra towels I was given them.

An inexpensive stay before catching the ferry

The location being close to a train station was helpful. We took the Uber in the next day to catch the Brittany ferries. There was a kitchen where we could cook dinner with basic supplies including stove, microwave and fridge. There's a washing machine/dryer combo unit. There were no other guests there when we were there so we could spread out. It was very quiet. Since the host is not on site it was a relief that the lock codes and locks were easy to use and they were clear instructions. Bedding was clean and USB cell phone chargers in handy locations. There's a full grocery store within walking distance and many restaurants. It's an international neighborhood with a variety of different people living in apartments.. you're a nice touches in the house.

− Wi-Fi wasn't working when we were there. We were given the codes but it did not show up on our phones. And without Wi-Fi the TV won't work. It's a Roku TV so that would have been nice. Most of the rooms are on the second floors on a very narrow staircase. That might be difficult for some people but we have backpacks so it worked for us. The kitchen could use few more items such as a cutting board and dishes that could be microwaved ( the ones there look like they have gold inlay, pretty but not microwavable).
