Two bedroom flat near Colchester Hospital with free parking and internet

Happy, nice place, but could of been happier,

Location was good, well stocked kitchen

− It had a strange smell to it, you got used to it but very strong, and the check in/out keys were over 2miles away and had to pick them up and drop them straight after and with the road works going on down the same road you needed to do the pick up/drop off made it a long waste of time would rather of not had.

Couldn't make contact with the property. No response to my emails, calls or texts to get the property address and access details. I eventually got an email 2 hours after the check in time, but by this time, I had no choice but to drive my 3 employees and myself 120 miles home. As always in these situations, Booking.com has been less than useless. They make it totally impossible to contact customer services. When I finally got the number from the internet and waited ages for an answer, the person hung up on me the moment I explained my issue and request for a refund.

− What I didn't like is Booking.com claiming to provide customer services when they obviously don't and halt any relationship and all responsibility once they have taken the money. I'll be taking my business elsewhere and reporting this fraudulent property to the police.

Our weekend in Colchester surpassed expectations

We can't comment on this flat precisely because a last minute utilities breakdown forced the hosts to offer us an apartment nearer to the south side of the town centre, 7 or 8 mins walk to the centre. It had the same facilities (car parking and internet) and was super clean, which I assume will be typical for this host.

− It was only clarified late in the day that there was car parking at the substitute accommodation, which isn't really relevant to this flat as there is car parking included according to the description.

Enjoyable because my wife and her 4 sisters were all together, which is why we booked.

Not a lot

− The location was changed on the 11th hour as problem with water supply in original property it was changed to a flat near the university which frankly very basic and not very comfortable, als can’t believe that it was rented out for 5 adults with only a small dining table and only 4 chairs.
