Lovely warm unit walking distance to town highly recommend

We enjoyed a lovely weekend in Mudgee, but experienced a poor communication and booking process

The cottage was lovely - very clean and in a good and quite location. We did have issues with the booking and entry to the location and the host provided a free night for the inconvenience which was very kind.

− The whole process including the interaction with Booking.com and the host was pretty poor. I had been trying to contact the host of the property to extend the stay for at least 3 weeks prior to our stay and could not get a response. One the morning of our first day, we received an email from Booking,com to advise that our booking had been cancelled - very disappointing - Only to get a message from the Host about an hour later to advise that the booking had NOT been cancelled - we then had to decide if we wanted to make a 5 hour trip as we were very unsure of the booking. When we arrived at the accommodation, we could not get the key to open the front door - we could only enter the property by going through the back door - we wasted a lot of time in the dark trying to find an entry point. The host did message on Friday night, and was lovely, but when I asked a question again on Saturday - I did not receive a response. Whilst we appreciated the additional night provided, the communication was quite poor. However, if we could get over the communication and the entry - the stay was lovely - the property was excellent and even the weather was perfect for us

− The host advised the booking was no longer available 4 hours before check-in with no explanation. We were en-route to the destination at the time. They advised the booking would be cancelled with full refund. This did not happen until I contacted Customer Service and initiated the refund process.

− Property cancelled via the app 4 hours before check in. I had paid the total in full and received confirmation early in the week. When I rescheduled out after it was cancelled the host did not reply. Extremely disappointed

Great little property for a stay in Mudgee. Clean and spacious. Close enough to walk to town.

− Would be good to have curtains in the bedroom to be able to sleep in.
