1.0Facilities are good but it is absolutely the Worst Customer Service experience I have ever had with a negative level of hospitality — specially with a very rude Manager, Maribel, an extremely disrespectful manager of Plantation Bay Resort, told us to just “get out and leave the resort”, only because we tried to provide a customer feedback.
− Absolutely the Worst Customer Service experience I have ever had with a negative level of hospitality — specially with a very rude Manager, Maribel, an extremely disrespectful manager of Plantation Bay Resort, told us to just “get out and leave the resort”, only because we tried to provide a customer feedback. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Plantation Bay Resort in Cebu. While the resort has good facilities, it means nothing when guests are treated with disrespect the resort is represented by rude staff. “Customer service” with a “hospitable team” is what defines a truly world-class resort, and in my experience, Plantation Bay failed miserably and has the worst customer service and lowest level of hospitality. The root cause of the issue is their rude Manager and extremely unreasonable “no phone use” policy in public areas, including the restaurant, even a quiet phone call is not allowed. I completely understand the importance of maintaining a peaceful environment and controlling loud conversations. However, there is a huge difference between someone being disruptive vs. someone quietly taking an important phone call. During lunch with my family, I received an urgent and important call that I could not ignore. I spoke softly and discreetly, I even covered my mouth, so that I would not disturb anyone around us. Despite being respectful and keeping my voice very low, a staff member approached me several times, telling me to end the call and showing me the signage saying, the “use of phone is not allowed”. I found this rude, excessive, unnecessary and disrespectful. In fact, the conversations from other tables are far louder than my phone call, but the staff didn’t tell the other customers to lower down the voice. After finishing the call, I politely requested to speak with the Manager because I wanted to understand the policy and provide a constructive feedback.
