Decent place to stay in Wigan!
7.0Very friendly and communicative host. Good location, a fairly short walk from the station and near a decent pub and a cracking Chinese takeaway! Comfortable bed. Decent shower. Nice communal area lounge and garden where you can sit and chill.
− The room could do with a bit of TLC. Lots of peeling wallpaper, etc. It's all fine but, with a bit of extra effort, this could be a lovely property.

The suite was immaculate, cosy, and had everything I could possibly need. 🏡✨ The host was absolutely fantastic! 😊 He was genuinely one of the nicest people I’ve met—friendly, funny, incredibly helpful, and full of wisdom. He truly went above and beyond to help me, and nothing was ever too much trouble. His kindness and local knowledge made my stay even more special. 🙌 Who knew a place to stay could come with five-star hospitality, comedy, and life advice all included? 😂🌟 An unforgettable stay with the best host — thank you for the laughs and memories! ❤️

Damp and must ground floor room with very loud road noise.
3.0Relatively easy parking in the street around the corner; the large kitchen area could be useful if you need it.
− I had a ground floor room facing the main road. It was horrendously noisy due to traffic about a meter from the bedroom window and it was impossible to have a good nights sleep. I am usually able to sleep pretty much anywhere without issues but I really struggled with this room. The room was damp and musty which the owners try to cover with multiple plug in air fresheners. I had the window open to try and get some ventilation. But this just makes it more noisy. Even my cloths got a bit damp sitting in that room. It had a damp and dirty smell to it which was really unpleasant. I wouldn’t dream of staying there again. Not a nice experience.
