− You are on top of the mtn so walking up is almost too much , alternatively use a cab or the cable car is near for 500 Yen

10.0Everything was impeccably awesome, besides the hectic walk to get to this place and no laundry facilities, my stay in onomichi is memorable just because of this place. The massage chair was much needed after cycling in from imabari.

Lovely house in a breathtaking location
9.0Wonderful hilltop location with a view over the town and the water. Very comfortable and well-appointed. We were there at hanami time and the house is at the edge of the park with the densest concentration of cherry trees in the town - beautiful!
− Internal stairs are *very* steep. Not necessarily a problem, but something to be aware of if any of the party has any mobility difficulties at all. Unless you have a car, getting to and from the centre of Onomichi town is in one of three ways: 1. the (very scenic) cable car whose upper station is about 10 minutes’ walk away, in part up a steep hill. The cable car service ends at about 5pm each day. 2. Walking: perhaps 15 minutes down, 25 minutes up. Great stairmaster workout, though! 3. Taxi from the station up the hill to the house, about 10 minutes and ¥1500. Uber claims to let you call a taxi to come to the house, but it’s lying. No laundry facilities at all.
