Wow this apartment is the most well-equipped and beautifully decorated place we've stayed on our trip through Germany. There is everything you need for a comfortable stay. The space is used really well and extra places to hang jackets, bags, keys, towels and bowls for belongings are very useful. The kitchenette has nearly everything you can think of- great to have a coffee maker, and we used the electric bbq grill for steaks. Everything is tastefully done and the touches like plants, candles and quirky ornaments make it feel like home. The bed is really comfortable and the bedding is the best we've had in Germany.We also loved the view from the private balcony of trees and nature, there were birds and a babbling brooke which was so peaceful. Anni was a super responsive, friendly and sympathic host. Her information and instructions were great. We had major car problems and arrived in the dark, during a rain and lightening storm at 10pm on a Saturday night and she replied instantly when we messaged with problems finding the place (only because it was dark and raining). Unfortunately our time was spent on the phone to garages and insurance companies due to a breakdown so we didn't get to do much sight-seeing but we couldn't have been stuck in a nicer place. The sauna downstairs is awesome and you can use it privately for 2 hours for €10- it has toilets, showers and loungers also. Wished we'd had time to use the outdoor pool 10 minutes walk away and free with guest card. Great access to the waterfall (we saw it by chance on a walk to the local garage!) and skyline bridge which looks fun but terrifying! The guest card was great to get free buses as we have no vehicle after day 1 but it is handy having underground parking so our bikes were protected and keeps off rain or sun. The neighbours were so helpful and kind during our problem with phone calls lebding us a mobile gone to make a call to France and making change for us to use the sauna.
