Cozy Flat in South Kensington

Right in the centre of London - a great place to stay

The location is superb - right in the centre of London and the flat looks like it was renovated recently. Everything in the flat worked.

− The check in was a bit tricky but the check out was worse. The owners of the flat told me to take the keys back to the lock-box in the sweet shop nearby and photograph the handover of the keys as proof, then send the photo to them. BUT THERE IS NO WAY TO DO THAT. They do not seem to have a working email address and no phone number was provided either. I am waiting for them to complain about the "lack" of photo so I can contact them.

It was lovely.

The property was clean and tidy. Location was great and we really enjoyed our time in there.

− The train noise was a bit disturbing except that everything was great

Convenient and clean. Plenty of room to relax.

No breakfast offered or expected. There was a lift available and washing machine and dryer. We accidentally locked ourselves out however a solution was at hand to collect another nearby after our day trip with little fuss. Tube station nearby.

− People upstairs sounded like they were moving furniture at all hours of the night. And the lift going up and down heard from the upper bedroom.

Very good stay but difficulty with getting in, lack of internet. Communication with owner poor.

Good location for Royal Albert Hall and museums. Close to a tube station and a Waitrose.

− Internet did not work despite resetting. Neighbours above were very loud and banging around during the night. Tube could also be heard. Entrance hall and outside the apartment in poor decorative order, we were relieved when we opened the door and the apartment was so clean. Took 50 minutes to get in the apartment as the number I had to obtain the key from a nearby shop did not work and I could get no answer from the telephone number I had been sent. We had to go to a cafe to use their internet and I contacted Booking.Com who were very helpful and got in touch with the property owner/representative who sent me a new code which thankfully worked. I was told that the code did not work first time because we tried to get the key just ahead of our 3pm check in time. I went back to the shop a second time after 3pm and the code still did not work so I am not convinced this was a valid reason. It would have been helpful to know beforehand that we would not be able to gain entry until bang on 3pm. I also asked the host a question twice leading up to the holiday and did not get an answer. I wanted to know if there was anywhere we could leave our luggage on departure day and collecting it on the way to the station. It turned out that the shop where you collect and return the key will store your luggage for the day for £5.
