Description needs to be updated to be clear on guest house being a seperate wing to a main house. Definitely could have
1.0There's honestly not really anything I liked about the property.
− We are extremely disappointed in the accommodation at The Woodlands Hideaway. The description that is provided on booking.com is not accurate and very underwhelming in person. The first main issue is the listing did not clearly disclose that the guest house was attached to/part of the host’s residence, which affected privacy expectations. Inside the guest house is private however it does not have soundproof rooms as listed under the facilities. You can hear absolutely everything through the walls of the main house and on multiple occassions the children crying or screaming have woke my daughter who is sleeping in the room that resides against the main house. I understand that children crying or screaming cannot be helped however including "soundproof rooms" in the facilities is very misleading. It does state that there is a private entrance which is correct however upon coming and going during our stay we have had to wait for the host to put their dog away. The second issue we have is the air conditioning. It is listed that there is aircon however it is ducted and there is no way of controlling this in the guest house. It really made for a very uncomfortable sleep even with the fan on as the main house has it set quite warm. The beds were also extremely uncomfortable adding to an even more uncomfortable sleep.

− You need a car (which we had) to get anywhere from the property - but it is an easy trip to the nearest cafe (Coffee Cabin is great!) and Browns Plains shopping centre

10.0good cereal variety. could consider some bread for toast with little one serve spreads. but quite adequate. Some hot chocolate sachets and herbal teas would be good for non coffee and tea drinkers. everything was good. Nice to have room to spread out and relax after driving. Host very helpful.
More space and amenity than a motel room - for about the same price

− No dishwasher or clothes dryer. Can hear the household noise from the man house (the unit has a shared wall).

8.0The presentation of the property was immaculate, spotlessly clean and lots of little extras like milk in the fridge and condiments to use, toiletries in the bathroom. It’s a very large unit with lots of space and the host was very helpful and accommodating.
− I didn’t realise the unit was connected to their house, not a big deal but it was unexpected.
