Spacious apartment and nice living room and terrace

− Disappointing experience due to poor communication with the host. We booked “breakfast included,” which turned out to be a supermarket delivery upon texting the host asking for it—not available before 8:45am. Was only provided on the first day, when we were told it was going to happen for the 2 mornings. When we raised the issue at 9am the 2nd morning, the host showed little interest in resolving it and even claimed the breakfast was just a courtesy, despite it being part of our booking, as if we didn’t have the right to ask for it. Communication overall was very difficult. Several minor issues in the apartment: the living room light didn’t work, the internet was down the entire time, and cleanliness was lacking (a dirty cup in the freezer, other unwashed dishes in the cupboard, no tea towel, and worn-out linens). While these issues were frustrating, they might have been tolerable if the host had been more responsive, welcoming, or willing to help. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

Location, view and finishes of the apartment are of a very high quality.

− The second bedroom was not a bed but a sofa bed whose mattress was very hard and very uncomfortable. We barely slept during the night and thank god we stayed only for one night. As for the breakfast, we requested it at 7.30, the owner confirmed it will come at 8.45 and it actually arrived at 9.30. Having stayed in gozo for only one night would have preferred to have taken breakfast earlier and left to the beach. We requested some items (upon owner asking us what we want) which were not delivered to us for breakfast.

This beautifully finished property feels more like a well-designed home than a typical rental. It’s fully equipped with thoughtful touches throughout — including toys for the kids, which was a lovely and unexpected surprise. The decor is modern and stylish, and the apartment features impressive high-tech additions, like TVs in every room (even the kitchen, thanks to the smart fridge with YouTube access!). The living room has a massive TV with easy access to Netflix, perfect for relaxing on the comfortable couch. The bathroom includes a luxurious bathtub with a built-in jacuzzi system and the second bathroom features a nice spacious walk-in shower. Our children (ages 6 and 4) were thrilled to find toys they could enjoy during the stay. We truly wish we had more time here — it’s such a fantastic space. We’ll absolutely be returning. Good views but poor facilities and no one answered the phone to help

− Hard to get into: the door code didn’t seem to work. No one answered the phone to help us. Eventually a neighbour showed us it was necessary to pull the door handle very quickly after entering the code. The electricity failed almost immediately after we got there. Again no one answered the phone to help us. We located the kind neighbour & he went down to the basement to reset the power. The bed in the main room was very hard, with very little space between it and the walls on either side. The bed in room 2 was a pullout sofa and not very comfortable. There were no saucepans and no can opener to open the cans of beans provided for breakfast.

The penthouse is really welcoming. Kids enjoyed their room and toys which made the stay a memorable one. Also fridge was stocked with bread, eggs milk, cheese and bacon for breakfast. Would re visit again for sure.
