We loved the entertainment area with the sun shining into the room. The beds and bedding were of excellent quality. The location is stunning we will definitely be back for a longer stay.

Disappointing Stay – Poor Cleanliness, Maintenance and Unusable Facilities

− We booked The Tides Holiday Home for 5 nights and 6 days for a family holiday, and unfortunately the property did not live up to the standard we expected from the listing or the price paid. The biggest problems were cleanliness, maintenance and the general condition of the facilities. The kitchen equipment, pots, pans and utensils appeared old, heavily used and inadequately cleaned. Several fixtures were visibly dirty, rusted, damaged or poorly maintained. We took photographs during our stay to document the condition of the property. The kitchen sink setup was extremely impractical, with a small basin and shower-style nozzle, and the water flow throughout the property was extremely poor. Basic tasks such as washing dishes and showering became frustrating because of the lack of proper water pressure. We paid an additional R150 per night for a child who joined us at the last minute. Despite paying this additional amount, no extra crockery or cutlery was provided. There were not enough plates, knives or forks for all seven people staying at the property. The listing also advertised free toiletries. For seven people staying for five nights, we were provided with only four rolls of toilet paper. One of our biggest disappointments was the indoor braai area. When the braai is used, smoke spreads throughout the house, making the accommodation extremely uncomfortable. We used the braai on our first night but, because of the amount of smoke entering the house, did not use it again until our final night. An indoor braai advertised as a feature of a holiday home should be properly ventilated and usable without filling the living areas with smoke. Effectively, one of the property's advertised facilities could not reasonably be used for most of our stay. The general condition of the property and outside areas also did not match the impression we had from the accommodation listing.

Dit is self catering. Die eiendom is baie toeganklik vir voertuie en bote. Trevor en Belinda is uitstekende gashere. Bederf ons met warm gebakte brood en heerlike hoender pasta gereg.
