The barn was fantastic, a big open plan interior and huge area out back. For a large group it's perfect. We stayed for a wedding at Bassmead which was less than half a mile up the road. Host was very friendly and helpful. We are looking to book again later in summer!

What a great stay! We found the barn when looking for accommodation to stay in the night before my wedding at Bassmead Manor Barns. The barn is a 2 minute drive up the road and it's absolutely beautiful. Has everything you could need and Luigi the host is absolutely brilliant. He is quick to communicate and super flexible. The property is new and modern and the location to the wedding venue is fantastic. I would absolutely recommend this especially if you are getting married or attending a wedding at Bassmead. It is the perfect location.

Beautiful modern luxury barn with responsive host (but missing good WiFi!!!)

Beautiful new barn with very nice open space + stylish kitchen. It's a newly refurbished barn so we really nejoyed that. We went during the Winter but would be perfect for a Summer trip especially wiht the sliding doors open in the main living room area. Rooms were very nice and bathrooms nice and modern. Entire house was well looked after and very clean. Nice living room area with large TV. Host was very responsive and accommodating. They don't have electric car charger but have an outdoor plug. Owner was happy for me to charge as long as I paid for the electricity used which was reasonable. We had a big issue with one bed being missing (listing said 5 beds but there were only 4) however sorted it out and brought a bed to the accommodation that evening. Very nice front area of the property with plenty of place to park. Some ideas for improvements to owner / host (when comparing to other barns) would be: a) Jacuzzi b) Pool table c) Table tennis table d) Electric charging e) Improved WiFi mesh network router + higher speeds from broadband provider (or StarLink if this is not possible)

− Two main issues: 1) WiFi - we did a "retreat" where we wanted to work away from home. All of us brought our laptops. However, internet coverage was extremely poor and speeds were slow (even when near router). We often had to rely on 4G/5G which was patchy throughout the property too. Strongly recommend the owners to install mesh WiFi system + consider upgrading to a faster internet (even StarLink if fibre optic not available). Makes a HUGE difference and is actually a deciding factor for our group in terms of rebooking or not. 2) Partially solved: the listing said 5 beds but when we arrived we only found 4 beds. We contacted the host who immediately admitted the mistake and apologised sincerely (Which we appreciated). He spoke to the owner and quickly organised for a single bed to be delivered that night which he did! Luigi (host) was very nice and apologised again. The bed brought was a very thin single bed and the mattress was a bit hard which was not the most ideal / comfortable setup though it has to be said. However, they did do their best to rectify the issue. I'm sure the listing has now been adjusted to reflect this. We had to bring our own bedding for the extra bed (luckily a friend joined us later who could bring this with him) but Luigi did offer to sort this too had we not.
