Very good value for the money. Liked the wifi technology and other automation tools for reducing energy consumption. The owner was very responsive and flexible. The location worked very well for our activities in the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Just minutes away from just about anything you need or want to see. I would stay here again.

− The room had a bit of a musty spell. Some of that probably is from not being opened for a bit.

The theory of the room

− I’m sorry to say that this was the WORST stay our family has ever had. The floor was sandy. I understand that it’s near the dunes and it’s hard to get all the sand out but you would think that a little vacuuming would have at least taken care of most of the sand. When we went to get the bedding out for the two loft futons from under the main floor bed, the boxes had tons of dust bunnies. The sheets and bedding were kind of wadded up in the boxes and didn’t seem super fresh. Then the worst happened after we were all tuckered out and ready to turn in. One of the futons in the upper loft had URINE all over it! My son’s shirt got wet just from lying down on the bed. So I thought he can just sleep on the carpet. But no. The carpet smelled of urine as well. So we ended up having our son sleep on the main floor with us in a sleeping bag we had with us. He woke up with ants crawling all over him. This was by far the worst staying experience we have ever had. It has and will become family lore. I wish the host would have taken better care to check the place. And would have been more accommodating when told about our experience.
