Location was excellent. House was immaculate and very spacious. Back yard was large. Kitchen huge.

The only thing I didn’t like was that I could not stay longer

An ideal location close to Bourton on the Water

The position was perfect. Very peaceful but close to the town. The garden was beautiful along with the patio area! This was a spacious property with a great kitchen area leading to the patio.

Beautiful and comfortable home with a gorgeous garden. Great location. When we wanted to explore the village, we parked in the car park on Rissington Road, which is a few minutes down the road from the home. Very useful to have a washer and dryer when traveling with children. We loved the big baths.

A complimentary load of logs for the fire (outdoor or indoor) would have been extra nice. As the host points out in the information about the property, it is easy to get wood from a local service station or supermarket (as we did), but having one bundle in the house would be a lovely and appreciated gesture and one less thing for guests to worry about.

Cotswolds break in May

Beautiful home. Spacious, light, basically furnished but still homely and welcoming. Large drive way and open garage with space for several cars. Large open hallway, 3 nice sized bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, TV room, utility, large kitchen (lots of well stocked storage, big cooker and fridge, island / breakfast bar + breakfast table and four chairs) and living room cum dining room. Lovely patio space with nice furniture, BBQ and fire pit. Overlooks lovely big garden, nicely landscaped. Access to garden from master bedroom, living room and kitchen - doors there fold back fully to patio area. House is on edge of town so it's quiet and close to open spaces and a lake - a lot of birds to see and listen to. Suited our needs perfectly (came with my octogenarian parents) as everything on one level - 2 x bathrooms - huge bath in one + large walk in shower and separate bath in another. Owners/ agent are easily contactable - reply quickly to questions and update with any issues. Highly recommend booking - short drive into town or 15 minutes walk for more able people - advisable to do so as Bourton is a beautiful old riverside town with not a lot of central parking. Big car park up station road or by Birdland though. Great choice of places to eat in town but it's busy so advisable to book.

Minor quibble but there was no welcoming pack - we holiday a lot in this country and are used to seeing a folder with local info about restaurants, shops and places of interest in surrounding area. Usually incorporates house details and how to use TV etc. We did get some of this in a text message but not as good, sorry. Also a little more available hanging space would be nice - we were fine , as only 3 of us, but place fits 6 people. Finally, another minor quibble - but my Dad felt the walk in shower was a little slippery for anyone unstable on their feet. An optional roll up shower mat would be nice. Please note these are minor points and would not stop us rebooking in future.

I like almost everything in this house actually, especially the large backyard that my son can run and play outside. I like that there are so many separate rooms here so each family member can have their own private area but we can still have big space together if we want.

The bathroom in the master bedroom had draining problem when we use the 2 bathrooms at the same time. So we had to use the bathroom outside bedroom one by one. If this problem is fixed, there is nothing that we dislike.
