Luxury Stay Near Niagara Falls

A disappointing stay due to recurring maintenance issues and poor issue resolution.

The location was nice. Initially the unit also looked nice.

− This was one of the most difficult stays we have experienced. * The property was without hot water for approximately 4 days during our 2-week stay. * We were asked to remain at the property waiting for maintenance on one occasion, but no technician arrived that evening. * There were cleanliness concerns, including insects and spiders inside the unit. * The bottom of the oven/stove contained burnt oil and grease hidden beneath trays and cookware. When the appliance was used, smoke was generated and the smoke detector activated. * An iron was not available upon arrival and was only provided after we requested it. An ironing board/iron stand was not provided during our stay. * We experienced a safety concern involving a small piece of glass inside the unit. * Communication regarding reported issues became stressful, and disputes arose regarding several concerns we raised. The location was convenient, but the maintenance issues, cleanliness concerns, missing amenities, and handling of guest concerns significantly affected our stay.

Stay here! You will not be disappointed! Great hosts and great apartment! I have travelled the world solo since I was 21 for work and pleasure, and I have never had a more positive experience staying in a property. These hosts and the property are the BEST I have ever seen. From the minute I began communicating with these hosts, I could tell I was in good hands - WARM, EFFICIENT, ATTENTIVE, RESPONSIVE and OVERLY CARING. Unlike so many other homes to rent on here, these owners actually care about hospitality and their guests care and comfort. The APARTMENT IS TOP-CLASS. The furnishings and decor are new, stain-free and elegant. The apartment is well appointed with has EVERYTHING you need. There is not one thing that is missing here - a full kitchen will all the tools you need to cook, a washer and dryer, a bidet, and a dishwasher! The LOCATION is private, the neighbours are all safe and friendly - family-oriented people with good morals. It's far enough way from the hustle that it is quiet but close enough to drive or Uber to the attractions of Niagara. I can't say enough about how well appointed this place is and how kind and considerate the hosts are. It's such a breath of fresh air in an industry that has become increasingly cold, putting profits over treating paying customers. You will not have that experience here. After this stay one-week stay I was eager to check in again (after a horrible weekend experience with another property listed on here in Port Colborne). The difference between the attitude of that host and their terrible house was a night and day difference to what I have experienced here. So, I BOOKED AGAIN FOR A THREE WEEK STAY as I am waiting for my house to become available. The guests have made me feel like a friend and that has been such a comfort in this time of transition. I feel safe, supported and cared for which is not something I have ever experienced renting somebody's home or apartment.

Apartment was clean

− the apartment key code didn’t work at arrival and the second day the same thing had to wake up to strangers to fix the lock The everyday all day noisy people that lived above the apartment stomping moving furniture around kids running and jumping the whole 4 nights I stayed Towels and wash cloths didn’t seem clean like they had a smell
