The place is simple but very comfortable and clean. Wycliff is very hospitable and cooks delicious meals. He supports a local community through his Helpful Project which is a beautiful thing. He arranged a visit to a local kindergarten. If you choose to go there (which I really hope you will) it would be lovely if you could bring a book or some little gifts as the place does not have many resources but is filled with love and joy! Wycliff helps organising transport and activities such as a canoe trip around a lake with Anthony which I truly recommend. I really enjoyed my stay and definitely recommend this place.

− Just to give you a heads up- the shower only has cold water but Wycliff can provide hot water if you’d like.

wycliff is a great cook and he is very friendly. our car broke during the way and we came very late but he was waiting for us with dinner. he is donating the community with 50% of accomodation fees! the beach for swimming is very close from the lodge.

Wycliff is a wonderful person and could not have been more helpful during my (sadly very short) stay at his beautiful Eco Lodge. Due to flight cancellations I had to change my dates—not a problem and very quick response to my WhatsApp which was very much appreciated. 3 hours late and arrived after dark —not a problem and my boda boda was waiting at the bus stop as promised. I was also late for dinner—not a problem and an enormous and very delicious chilli was quickly served when I finally appeared. My room had a super comfortable bed and a very welcome en suite bathroom with toilet—all extremely clean. The view from the lovely open air dining room is spectacular and very much enjoyed whilst I had more delicious food for the breakfast that was included in the price. Wycliff also booked me a boda boda back to town the next morning and the journey is really lovely in the daylight! I was very happy that there were some lovely souvenirs made by the local community that I was able to buy before I left. Unfortunately I had too little time to do any of the activities that Wycliff can organise—canoe rides on the lake, local hiking, nature walks, Batwa experience and even safaris and gorilla permits—there seems to be nothing that Wycliff can’t arrange for you!! I would absolutely recommend Wycliffs Eco Lodge 100% and look forward to spending a lot longer there on my next trip to Uganda.

Prachtige locatie, heerlijk eten en super vriendelijk

De locatie is prachtig en Wycliff is ontzettend vriendelijk l, heeft goede humor, is behulpzaam en een super kok. Ik ben hier even tot rust gekomen. Verder heb ik een kano tocht gedaan op het meer, het weeshuis bezocht wat hier niet ver vandaan ligt (loop er zeker even binnen want de kinderen zijn geweldig). Indien je nog een gorilla tracking wilt doen in Bwindi dan kan Wycliff dit ook voor je regelen . Ik kan deze prachtige locatie iedereen aanraden en als je gaat kijk vooral naar de zonsondergang over het meer. Dit is schitterend.
