10.0Beautiful, well-equipped cabin in a wonderful setting. The garden was enchanting, the hot tub was a delight and the cabin itself was a nature lover's paradise, stocked with books, maps and a highly powered set of binoculars. Plenty of outdoor seating with comfortable benches on the covered verandah lounge chairs on the patio and a table down in the garden. The semi-wild garden with its secluded dell encourages birds to come close to the house, Plenty of games as well to pass a rainy day - vital in Iceland. The separate one-bedroom cabin makes this a perfect lodging if you have older children (12+ I would say) who can be left alone in the main house. This cabin has clearly been built and maintained with love to the highest standards. Definitely one of the highlights of our stay in Iceland.
− I regretted only booking for three nights. There's so much on your doorstep: it's a great base for exploring Reyjkavik and the Golden Circle, or just watching the local wildlife.

9.0Die Unterkunft ist sehr geräumig und die Ausstattung lässt wenig zu wünschen übrig (ein Geschirrspüler gibt es leider nicht). Die Lage ist mitten im Grünen und man ist in ca. 30min bei verschiedenen Sehenswürdigkeiten.
− Es gab insgesamt 3 Betten im Haus. Nur eines davon war bezogen, das ist auch okay, da wir nur zwei Personen (mit einem Kleinkind) waren. Jedoch war das Etagenbett bezogen, das heisst man fühlte sich etwas eingeengt und das Bett war sehr schmal (höchstens 140cm). Zusätzlich wurde das obere Etagenbett als Stauraum benutzt, was nicht gerade einladend wirkte (siehe Bild). Abgesehen von der Bettensituation haben wir die Unterkunft aber sehr genossen!
