10.0Very clean, cosy cottage. Allowed us to check in a little early. Lots of personal touches. Bread, jam, butter, milk, tea and coffee provided. Plus toilets for us to use. Very comfortable, can't wait to return in the winter and take advantage of the wood burner.
Very cosy place
8.0Very cosy. It was convenient for where we wanted to visit. Thank you very much for recommending a visit to Cannon Hall it was well worth going such a beautiful place.
− We struggled with getting hot water from the shower tap. Hard to adjust to right temperature.🙁
Guest review
7.0Very cosy, clean and well equipped. Good communication with owners. Very grateful for the bread, butter and jam on arrival and the tea, coffee and milk. Also good to have somewhere to hang clothes. The property had character.
− The shower head got extremely hot and the water temperature was extremely hot which could have been painful. A post stating parking area would have been useful and also the name of the Old Stables as I could not see any sign that we were at the correct property. Due to arthritis I had difficulty with the cutlery, particularly the knives as these seemed very flimsy. The symbols on booking.com showed a bath with overhead shower but it turned out to be a bath with mixer taps and hand held shower head.
A very unsatisfactory place in a lovely location
3.0Peace and quiet at times
− Cobwebs, very unclean windows, no shower just water out of the tap. Very old TV that couldn't even receive BBC1 &2. Very hot and wasn't offered a fan to keep cool. Bad WiFi very slow. Lack of communication from host and lack of assistance when asked for. Overall cleanliness was a low standard. Unrectified points raised with host not actioned and looking in the previous reviews not noticed or changed previously.
Great for our one night stay, on advice from owner we had a lovely walk around a fishing lake just up the road and throu
9.0We were appreciative of the bread, milk, tea, coffee etc at the cottage. All very clean with everything that we needed for an overnight stay
