− Overly fragranced with air fresheners which was overwhelming and unnecessary as the place was nice and clean. Took longer than advised to receive the refunded deposit although it did come eventually

AVOID THIS PLACE - Unfair Deposit Policy and Uncomfortable Stay
1.0− I have been travelling for over 15 years, and I can honestly say that my stay at Hamilton House by Solace Stays was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. 1. Unfair Deposit Retention: The property owner withheld part of my deposit because I did not do the dishes and take out the bins before leaving. Nowhere in the booking policy or house rules was this mentioned as a requirement. I carefully reviewed the details before booking and during my stay, and there was no clear indication that these tasks were mandatory to receive my deposit back. When I tried to address this with the owner, they were completely uncooperative. Booking.com customer support advised me to resolve it directly with the owner, but that went nowhere. I feel completely cheated and misled, and this kind of behavior is unacceptable. 2. Uncomfortable Living Conditions: On top of the deposit issue, the first floor where the bedrooms are located has severely uneven floors, making it difficult to move around comfortably. This problem was not disclosed beforehand, and it significantly impacted the quality of my stay. This was the worst accommodation experience I’ve had in 15 years of travel. The property’s lack of transparency, unjust deposit practices, and uncomfortable living conditions make it a place to avoid at all costs. There are far better and more honest places to stay in the area.
