Excellent Stay. Convenient location. Friendly Staff. Excellent breakfast and dinner!
10.0Historical and comfortable
− Parking was snug but we found a place on the street.

10.0Was greeted by a excellent young man, with a great sense of humour. Explained everything that we need to know and apologise that we had missed dinner. Which was fine as we had eaten on the way up. Breakfast was amazing, cearals, toast and pastries plus a good full English too!! Highly recommend!! Coffee was good too! Great over night stop and definitely would stay again.
− Bedroom/bathroom was clean and tidy. The room was lovely looking over the market place. Just the beds were little uncomfortable.
Lovely quaint pub with lovely staff - and good value if you are only staying a night or two.
8.0The excellent staff and location and the quirky cobbled street leading directly to our door.
− Some things were a little tired and in need of renewal in our room.
It met our need for accommodation as we walked the Northumberland Coastal path.
8.0Breakfast was very good. The historic building was interesting. The shower was very good. Staff were helpful
− The hotel is generally a bit rundown. There was a water stain in the ceiling of our bedroom and the window frame looked as though it had not been painted in some time.
Authentic, welcoming and good value hotel
10.0The building and annexe, our room, the restaurant, the staff welcome, the amazing beer garden... actually, everything!
− Nothing.
