Cute cottage in convenient location
7.0− Difficulty with large damp wood trying to start and maintain fire.
Nice and cozy for a kid free weekend away.

− There weren't any fire lighters so we had to go buy some. The smoke alarms may need a battery change as they went off randomly including at 2am even when the fire wasn't going. Could do with updating all the curtains to thermal curtains and getting blinds for the kitchen and the front door as had someone come knock on the door while we were there and I didn't like that they could look right in!

− Always read the reviews before you book! Unfortunately this is my first negative review. Bedrooms incredibly small, broken curtain in 1 bedroom which faced the road so there was no privacy to be had in that room. We were notified about this via a note on the fridge, and looking at other feedback this has been an issue for some time. Heating was a problem, damp firewood was supplied, told we could use a few bits, if you are going to limit the amount of wood to be used then supply some decent heaters. We ended up buy wood from the local hardware store. Im not sure who does the cleaning, but they need to do better, toilet paper on the floor in bathroom, filthy bathroom mirror floors needed a jolly good vacuum, surfaces needed to be wiped down. Cobwebs dangling from kitchen ceiling. Outside was untidy.
relaxing cosy stay
9.0Cosy we space all to ourselves, Fire was nice with good wood that warmed the place well. Close to the hot pools, close to the town, 850m walk if you use the right roads. Good range of items for the kitchen.
− Beds being only being doubles, but no space in the rooms to practicably put anything bigger, Note on the fridge saying sorry blind in bedroom now working, improvised with a couple of towels to get privacy from the road.
