I liked that Scott met us to explain or reassure my husband face-to-face that the damage deposit wasn't a scam. We liked the spaciousness, the tall ceilings and the open concept. It felt very grand! The jacuzzi was a wonderful surprise. We absolutely loved the games tables!! Makes us want to come back to have more time to relax and play pool, darts, board games, and whatever that double bouncy thing was! Please make sure to let him know if you need more time to check out. WARNING: He will follow through with the warning to charge $25 per hour ... even the morning after your first wedding night. That was extremely disappointing, but our own fault for thinking we could check out in time.

− I really didn't like the hole in the floor close to the foot of the bed. I stepped in it and almost twisted my ankle on the first night of my honeymoon! I also didn't like that there was no obvious place to hang our garments and I didn't like that there was not one complimentary laundry detergent pod/washing sheet from a skin-friendly toxicology-conscious company. Having those items corrected would have made it the best stay EVER. WARNING: Scott will follow through with the warning to charge $25 per hour ... even the morning after your first wedding night. That was extremely disappointing, but our own fault for thinking we could check out in time.

Cool apartment within walking distance to the Tiger Cats stadium

This huge apartment in the Stipley neighborhood of Hamilton exceeded our expectations. The amenities are as described and the photos are accurate. We stayed in a garden level apartment in this tastefully and thoughtfully renovated former church. We came to Hamilton to take in a CFL game (go Tiger Cats!). I intentionally chose a place close to the stadium so we could walk to the game. And we did walk, less than a 5 minute walk to the stadium from the property. Scott, the owner is 100% a "super host", he went above and beyond in his hospitality efforts. He even walked with us to the game (he was going to). There was also a fully stocked fridge with beers, wine, soda and Gatorade...Not free, but very reasonably priced. On site there are also games to play, I.E. pool table, darts, etc and Scott has an extensive music selection in the apartment and the stereo to play it on. As final finishing touch, he left us snacks by the door for the next leg of our road trip. I highly recommend this place and if we go to another Tiger Cats someday we would definitely stay here again.

− I have no complaints for this apartment. My only thing and it was no big deal is that the property does not have a driveway and I had to park on the street. With that being said, I found a spot right in front of the building.

− The owner will reach out asking for extra 100cad deposit out side of the platform will ask u to E transfer it . Which is weird in the first place to do transactions outside of booking.com. Also he will slap u with other ways to try to keep the deposit with returning it. And at the end of the day he will not return your full deposit saying its for a cleaning option "drop and go" . This is not "Airbnb" you cant just slap any charges u want. Totally unprofessional just looking out for extra money.

The space is nice, lots of room and a unique property. I enjoyed that pool table and the tub/shower.

− I did not appreciate the fact that the host accused me a smoking pot in the room. On the first night, he banged on the door and said that his smoke detector had gone off and was certain that I was smoking but I was not and had not ever. I can understand having a rule like that, but it is very unsettling to be accused of something like that when you are innocent. It was interesting that on the last night of my stay, when I went into the hallway outside my room, I could smell the scent of a skunk. I live on a farm, and I know what that smells like. Maybe it being a basement suite, he may want to check if that is the problem.
