Coastview Cottage ,quiet beach holiday♡

Location view We recently stayed at this apartment in Pendine. The location is absolutely lovely, and the view was truly brilliant — definitely the highlight of our stay. It was wonderful to wake up to such a beautiful outlook and enjoy the surroundings area

− Unfortunately, the apartment itself was disappointing. The decor felt very old and outdated, and more importantly, it did not appear to have been cleaned to an acceptable standard before our arrival. Because of this, we did not feel comfortable during our stay. While the setting and view are fantastic, we would not choose to stay here again unless significant improvements are made to the cleanliness and overall condition of the apartment.

− we should have paid far better attention to the warning signs in previous reviews. The property was unclean( despite numerous cleaning fluids dotted around the place) and an unpleasant environment for our family including an 18 month old toddler. There was no hot water and low cold water pressure at the property for over 48hrs. whist we acknowledge this is not entirely in the manager’s control we felt his response to be merely polite rather than proactive in any way, implying it was our responsibility to keep him informed . The situation was entirely unacceptable given the hygiene implications for us all as guests. Past reviews have sited dirt/ old food behind sofa( still there btw) and general tatty tiredness of furnishings/ bedding/ towels, etc but there appears to have been no effort to resolve these significant issues. The garden/ patio was covered in old leaves/ brambles/ weeds and was generally unkempt. Again, not ideal for any guest, let alone a toddler We left after 3 nights of a booked4 night stay due to all of the above and had to find and pay for alternative accommodation to resolve the unpleasant situation. If you intend to book this property I would strongly recommend you check beforehand that all of the above has been resolved fully.

The views were great

− Really needs a deep clean. Found food stuck to the wall, behind sofa and smeared on Tv and patio doors. It’s a shame because it has so much potential
